 Section 1
 The tour is suited for experienced riders who new and rode with
Walter Van Lierde in the past and understand and enjoy challenging Alpine touring.

Minimum age 21.

Only Riders intending to complete this tour in full need apply.
10 machines will start the tour.
Two different tour routes run simultaneously each day and start and finish at the same place.

Tour Start Information and daily tour information.

The tour start info is sent 14 days approximately before the start via normal first class post - Not before, so participants must be patient.
This information will contain the GPS Co-ordinates and detailed road map and name and address of the "base camp 1"
Daily tour info and GPS info is given out after the evening meal the day before each tour - not before.

On Tour “A”
No Side cars. No trailers. No trikes. No Quads. No children. No four legged animals.
Very challenging long tour routes - High Alps!

Tour "B"
Suitable for experienced riders but shorter and less demanding routes as on Tour "A"

For both tours there are no guided daily tours, no service vehicle, and no rest day.
All participants are provided with daily route maps and GPS routes
Organiser GPS tour route info is based upon the Garmin 2009 European latest update
and these routes were created with the Garmin Zumo 550 in mind.

Routes will take you across the highest and most demanding Alpine roads on all surfaces.
Riders navigate the routes themselves with the information provided and in all weather conditions.
Ferry’s, train’s, tunnel, bridge and road tolls are paid for by the Riders.
If you or your machine can no longer continue on route during the tour then its “time out” the tour must go on and your tour ends there and then.

All riders will need their own private medical insurance, breakdown recovery insurance, and holiday cancellation insurance.

The tour organisers and their agents accept no responsibility for loss or damage to riders personal belongings.

All riders must obey local laws and road regulations and respect other road users.
The tour
does not supply riders with motorbikes.
Riders should be aware that English is the first spoken language on the tour.
Riders and their machine/s must be in good health & road worthy.

 A immediate 50% deposit on a tour price secures reservation.
Final payment must be received at least 60 days before tour start.
Participant will be sent invoice for the balance automatically.
Late applications arriving within the 60 day period
must pay the full tour amount immediately.

Section 3
Rooms
Subject to availability. Double occupancy only. Double bed or twin single beds.

Section 4
Change of Reservation (for riders that have made their deposit or full payment)
Riders changing their reservation will be subject to a 100 Euro handling charge per person.
This means that changing a double bed occupancy to a twin bed occupancy or visa-versa.
 The same applies when a double occupancy is changed to a single room occupancy.
All above depends on availability.

Section 5
Cancellations by Post Only

Cancellations by signed letter only, post dated, received 60 days before a tour start will be subjected to a 60 Euro Per person handling fee.
Cancellations, by signed letter only, post dated, received 30 days before a tour start will be subjected to a 120 Euro Per person handling fee.
Cancellations, made with less than 15 days before a tour start, or participant failure to attend a tour will result in complete loss of participation fee.

Section 6
Tour Cancelation

Tour organisers reserve the right to cancel whole tours in advance of the starting date.
A 60 Euro handling fee per person will be charged.

Section 7

Motorbikes

Participants should not arrive to this tour on worn out tyres or brake pads.
For participants and other road users safety a daily control of all machines will be made.
Riders will be asked to replace worn out material immediately before continuing the tour.

Section 8

Tour Changes
Tour organisers reserve the right, without prior notice, to withdraw any part of a tour,
to make changes as may be necessary, and the extra cost, if applicable, resulting there from, and shall be paid by the participant.

Section 9
When the tour is interrupted or has to be cancelled

Or ended for reasons outside of the control of the tour organisation, as well as in the case of force major such as riots,
 floods, earthquakes, strikes, etc. the reservation becomes invalid, with 100% loss of participation fee.

Section 10
Rules of the Road/Tour

If the Rider does not comply with traffic laws or the requirements of this tour their participation may be cancelled
by the tour organisers and the participant will be asked to leave the tour. This will result in 100% loss of participation fee.

Section 11
Rider withdrawal during tour
Riders that have started the tour and can no longer continue during the tour due to:
mechanical breakdown, illness, accident, private reasons, will not receive a refund.

Section 12
All Refunds
Refunds, less bank fees will be made directly to riders private bank accounts.


Section 13
Disclaimer

 By registering for this tour you have automatically agreed to the above terms and conditions.
You will also be asked to sign a copy of this document on your arrival to the tour.
